AAPGAI Spring Assessment & Workshop Weekend

(See below for group photo)

Thursday 3rd April brought fly fishermen from all corners of the UK to the banks of the mighty river Tay at Kenmore for the first instructors assessments of 2008.

The weather delivered as promised four seasons in one day with snow blizzards, bright sun, rain and wind. A true test of our candidates’ ability and desire to succeed.

Rarely are there so many dedicated instructors gathered in one place for 4 days of solid fly casting talk, demonstration, discussion, instruction and personal professional development. We had a total of 29 candidates taking 30 exams. 14 candidates were successful giving a pass rate of 45%

The following candidates were successful and were presented with their certificates at the dinner on Saturday evening. For more information and details of future assessment weekends visit www.aapgai.co.uk
